16 oz can.
Pours a cloudy deep red amber color with a large soapy off-white head. The head leaves lots of splotchy lacing as it dissipates. Looks about right for the style.
Aromas of sweet, bready malts, cereal grains, black cherry and fig, light molasses and a bit of herbal hops.
The flavor definitely has a lot of fig and subtly tart black cherry. There's plenty of bready malts, roasted grains, and molasses. A touch of caramel before a hoppy finish.
The feel is medium bodied with pretty good carbonation. Smooth and dry on the finish.
Overall, this is a good beer from a style I'm not even remotely an expert in. I know the basics of what this kind of beer should smell/taste like and this beer seems to fit the standard.
