Brewing a stout is a labor of love - it takes dedication and heart. This beer was triple mashed, boiled for 24 hours & aged in brown sugar rum barrels. With no adjuncts added, this smooth and deeply complex stout is a testament to our passion.

Picked up a 4-pack of this from The Beer Store (Nashua) for $24.00 recently. Time to dig in, while watching some Sunday football....
It's a dense, opaque, black brew, with no sense of what the carbo looks like. Head is a nice tan color, though it's thin, fine and wispy. Doesn't leave much in the way of lace on the glass. The nose has some dark choco, a hint of coffee, and some brown sugar. It is nicely smooth on the tongue, and the body is medium to medium-plus.
Flavor has a solid malty base, with dark choco and a smidge of bitter coffee. Also has some caramel, toffee and vanilla mixed in. Am getting some hints of caramelized brown sugar and subtle intimations of rum. Has a slightly dry finish, with a bit of earthy hopping present. Quite solid! Prosit!!
