From a 16 oz. can dated 03/16/2023. Sampled March 25, 2023.
Handsome deep dark chestnut brown appearance under a long lasting tan head.
The aroma is all I would hope for in a brown ale with toffee, caramel, nuttiness, a hint of chocolate, and an earthy hop backbone.
Medium mouthfeel. Creamy smooth.
The taste is sweet and nutty as a brief description. I still pick up those caramel, toffee, and earthy characters but not as much as the sweetness. Slightly lingering mildly bitter finish. It is a nice example of a traditional brown ale.
