Our 7th rendition is in YOUR FACE hoppy. We piled so many hops and so many techniques, our yield was horrible... but who cares... it was worth it.
Citra/Mosaic/Rakau/Riwaka/Nectaron/Enigma/Loral/Galaxy/Cashmere... you name it it's in here.
West coast aggressive New England soft.

Pours a hazy orange with a 2F head and moderate lacing.
Smells of slightly dank grassy and piney hops with sweet fruit and citrus.
Tastes of bitter hops, tart grapefruit, pineapple, mango and orange with a lightly bitter and boozy warm finish.
Medium body and light carbonation. Lush, smooth mouthfeel.
This a way too drinkable, nuanced, juicy and powerful brew.

Kettlehead Brewing IPA - Quadruple
"West Coast aggressive, New England Soft" absolutely right!. Earthy, dry, bitter hop cone explosion on the first sip. Boozy heat is just fine for 12.5% Abv. Together, it's a pretty extreme Quad IPA bite. A true sipper with lots of depth and complexity. I'm sure this will only continue to open up as the session goes on.

The latest iteration of Kettlehead's Anniversary series..... Bought at Kettlehead on Main recently.... cost escapes me.... perhaps $24 for a 4-pack, methinks?
Diving into a can while watching some college football on a lazy Saturday eve.... My previously empty sniftah now holds a healthy amount of a slightly hazy, richly golden libation. Has a bit of light carbo within. Up top sits a thin, fine layer of white foam, with solid lacing sticking around. Aroma is replete with semi-sweet fruit upon a slightly malty base. There's apricot, tangerine, pineapple and passion fruit to be found here. Body is nicely medium to medium-plus, and the feel is smooth going down.
Flavor follows the nose.... lots of semisweet fruit heaped on a lightly malts, toasty base. Apricot, pineapple, tangerine, peach and passion fruit entice the palate. It's like a thick slab of whole grain toast slathered with semisweet marmalade. Quite tasty! Prost!!
