CHUBSTA is a Scottish Wee Heavy checking in at 8% ABV. This is a nice, dark Mahogany ale made with some of the finest British and Scottish malts. We added cherry smoked wheat and HBC 472 hops that lend an amazing bourbon barrel character to the beer. This is an ODE to and OLD friend.... whats up CHUB?

Dark brown mostly opaque body with a finger of tan foam. This was well done. Leans a little more sweet toasted caramel than peat and earth, hints of pumpernickel and forest floor leaves. Smell more malty with dark fruit that the taste isn't as strong in. Very smooth, refreshing for style, malty but the yeast is there in a supporting role the whole way. Would be ideal in early autumn

16oz can from Tavour. Dark brown pour, wispy beige head, thin ring. Smoky, peaty, malty aroma. Taste is malty, light sweetness, peat, raisins, earthy. Faint bitterness lingers
