My 4th at the Oak Park 7th Generation Beer Fest.
Silly Parade is nicely tart and refreshing.
My first from Lil Beaver, I went on their minimal website and sense that they are hardworking, but their key support comes from college students doing their research on the differences between the RIS style and the American Stout... and tasting these experiments again and again. But, that is just my hunch. What I'm more certain of is that it is big risk to specialize in these extreme styles in downstate Illinois and succeed. Here's hoping that Lil Beaver does.
