Pours a jet black, looks like filthy motor oil, small brown head that fades quickly, no lacing but it does leave a beautiful oily film in the glass.
Aroma of burnt sugar, molasses, roasted malts, tastes follows. The rye provides some spice. Thick'n oily, minimal carbonation. What a pleasant surprise, this is terrific.
