An extra juicy, fun twist on our super popular Juice Box Hazy IPA. Crafted with Amarillo and Citra hops, and additionally adding huge amounts of mango and peach puree into the mix, it takes this IPA to another level.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From their IPA Mix Pack 2 at my favourite LCBO at Tecumseh Mall in nearby Windsor. Canned February 10/25. My 8th beer from the Chatham, Ontario brewery, and 1st for 2026. With Sundae the cat...

473 mL can from the LCBO, included in the Sons of Kent IPA Boombox Vol. 2 mixed pack. Dated Feb 10 2025 and served barely chilled.
Pours a hazy golden-orange colour, producing just over an inch of soapy, foamy white head that melts away within a couple of minutes. A modest band of messy lace clings to the glass, with a thin collar and sudsy cap remaining on the surface. Lots of peach on the nose, with added notes of mandarin orange, passionfruit, honeydew melon, mango juice and lychee.
It's tasty, boasting an abundance of peach flavour; there's also ripe mango, of course, as well as pink grapefruit, passionfruit and cantaloupe. Hints of grapefruit pithiness and floral hop bitterness occasionally rise above the sea of fruitiness, but only momentarily; concludes with more peach and mango dissipating into a juicy aftertaste. Medium-full in body, with moderately low carbonation that gently prickles the surface of the palate; smooth, juicy mouthfeel with little sign of that 6.9%. Even still, this drinks like a once-per-night sort of beer.
Final Grade: 3.96, a B+. It pains me to say it, but I don't think Wheeze the Juice is any better than its progenitor. The mango and peach purees certainly gussy up the aroma, but their dominance of the flavour profile makes for a much fruitier, less nuanced IPA that may not be everyone's cup of tea. It's juicy, sure, but ironically I'd rather be drinking Juice Box: and that's not to say that this is a significantly weaker beer, just that I prefer the unaltered base IPA. Peach-loving hopheads are most apt to appreciate this, I reckon, but anyone who has enjoyed their Juice Box should at least give this a shot.
