At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From the Amherstburg LCBO. Canned March 5/26. My 18th beer from the Chatham, Ontario brewery, and 11th for 2026. Considerably significant at private moments to Sundae the cat...

473 mL can from the LCBO, included in the Sons of Kent IPA Boombox (Vol. 3). There's a date stamp, but it's smudged; ah well, this pack is brand new, so it can't be that old. Served slightly chilled.
Pours a clear honey-golden colour, kicking up one finger of tight, creamy white head that fades within two or three minutes. A quarter-inch band of even lace is draped around the glass, with a thin collar and a few filmy patches lingering on the surface. Grapefruit and floral, earthy hops on the nose, with suggestions of stone fruit, melon and pineapple.
It's not the most exciting pale ale you'll ever come across, but it's pretty good in general. I'm tasting grainy pale malts, lightly toasted bread and a touch of caramelized sweetness, overlapping with grapefruit, pear, mango and orange. Increasingly hoppy towards the finish, with earthy, floral notes and some resiny bitterness dissipating into a mildly hoppy aftertaste. Light-ish in body, with moderately low carbonation that gently tickles the surface of the palate. Smooth mouthfeel, with great drinkability.
Final Grade: 3.92, a B+. Rewind is a solid brew that I'd rank alongside comparable Ontario APA classics, such as GLB's Canuck Pale Ale and Nickel Brook's Naughty Neighbour. It's also a fine alternative to their 8 Track XPA, which is of similarly high quality. If you like any of the beers that I just mentioned, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by skipping this Sons of Kent pale ale.
