I find it difficult to rate Red Season, even for a style that encourages small innovations in ingredients. Red and juicy in Looks and Smells, as expected from the blood orange. Nicely tart. Less for the traditional table and more for refreshment. Less fruit and more graininess makes this a better saison.
Armistice is interesting on a number of fronts. On the home front, it is in Richmond, the epicenter of the War Effort on the West Coast... right on the water amidst the large Kaiser wartime shipyards and near the Rose The Riveter Museum (see it when you go for beer.) Also on the home front, this is the first brother-sister combo that I can remember; touching how they got back together to take care of their Mom and started home brewing. Third, I also should point that Armistice is helping renew Richmond, one of the few areas in the Bay Area that has defied renewal for several decades. My only advice to Armistice is to experiment less and focus on a cash cow and flagship. It could revitalize Richmond faster, also !

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
