Only my 4th from Hacienda. All 4 are saisons. Since this is not their money-making speciality, how well do I know them?
That disclosure said, L'automne has something to say for itself. While it Looks barely the part of a saison (too little foam, beat down by the foeder), Smells are something: so that's what mushrooms smell like with malt. As for Tastes, they're complex: but the bone-dry finish really limits how well it goes with food. I drank this with pizza (my bad.) Emerge 077 suggested cheese (he's right.)
As for my high Overall rating for a saison I'll not have again... that goes to Hacienda: bringing culture to the tourist destination of Door County is work worth doing.

Label notes: Foeder-fermented saison, aged in oak with house mixed culture, conditioned on dried sage.
Bright gold with bright clarity and huge billowing head, drippy lacing around the glass.
Zesty citrus aroma, lemon-lime, a touch brie rind funk, herbal sage and dill accents.
Zingy acidity, lemon, sage, dill notes with balanced citrus and savory herbal elements.
Zippy carbonation, light bodied and effervescent, finishes bone dry.
Overall this is a an excellent mixed-ferm saison, and pairs well with cheese and charcuterie.
