Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours orange yellow with a small white head. Smells of grassy hops with slight citrus. Tastes of grassy citrus, especially bright lemon. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Impressed. This is my second saison this month in which I'd like to have six new ones this good a year. So either I'm a lucky man having a good month... or I'm dropping my standards as I become a feeble old man. You be the judge.
A pretty Looker to start; but its large bubbles fade and end up, unfortunately, Looking more like dishwater. Pity given the fruity aromas highlighted by lemon. Tastes are full and refreshing; indicating this Hacienda/Door collaboration understands how to work Belgian yeasts and, in particular, produce a very good saison. Unfortunately, watery-thin in the mouth... but that combines well with its positives to make it a very good table beer. And Citroen made better a red sauce on pasta; serving double duty first as a fruity quencher after a late summer bike ride.
So, our friends at Hacienda brew courtesy of Door County Brewing (who I've also not Had... and look forward to sampling their saisons and see how lucky I truly am this month.) If these two brewing ventures are any indication, the culinary world of Door County has taken a great leap in the 25 years since I last went there. But then, many places have made that same leap... and I'd like to think that ale is a bigger part of it than it is given credit.

Had on tap. Hazy yellow with thin white cap. Smell is juicy lemon, lime, flowers, and slight yeast, but very faint. Taste is much the same, very citrus forward with yeast backbone. Not intense, but not wispy either. More wet in the feel than expected, with bright and juicy breadiness.
