L'été 2020 is this year's summer seasonal saison. Part of our series of mixed fermentation saisons intended to highlight the ever-changing seasonality of Door County. This year’s beer is a rustic saison, fermented and aged in one of our oak foeders for 4 months. Then, we dry hopped the beer with a delicate amount of Zuper Saazer hops. A simple beer in its formulation—but one of our absolute favorites since starting Hacienda. Naturally conditioned in the bottle.

Rustic flavors with a light / lemon lime tartness. Moderate funk & oak. Hops are very earthy, lightly spicy, & have some herbal quality to it. Awesome mouthfeel from the bottle conditioning.

Poured from a 500ml bottle into a stemmed tulip. Pours a pale golden color, mildly hazy. Effervescent white head that dissipates quickly. Funky floral nose with hints of lemon, grass and hay. There is less complexity on the sip than the aroma might suggest. Fairly dry with muted tart funkiness. Relatively thin in body.
