Barrel Fermented Strata Saison

amazing beer here, they all were at zillicoah, but this is particularly impressive. a slightly wild and slightly woody delicate saison thats lightly hoppy in the finish and perfect for summer sessioning. its pale straw colored, a little hazy but still letting most light pass through, short white head and lots of fizzy carbonation. it smells like white wine and grassy hops, light lemon and lime and even a little brett with the saison type yeast here, a mixed fermentation i would think. the oak profile here is rather delicate, not heavy or tannic or even all that mellow or mature tasting to me, just round and soft and lightly enhanced by it. the hops are great in the finish, low bitterness but high citrus, makes this seem even more summery. its very dry, has a super light body for how strong it is, and is really brightly carbonated, exactly how i want a beer like this to feel. delicious and majorly sessionable saison type here with enough funky yeast character to make it interesting and a clean citrusy hop finish. awesome brew!
