On tap at Barrel and Steve in Fullerton, California
Pretty beer. Yellow to gold, mostly clear. Lovely fluffy whitehead. Light lacing, great retention.
Nose has a beautiful mix of citrus and berry notes with papaya and hints of white grapes.
Taste follows the nose within an addition of a little bit of a dank, weedy note. Solid.
Pleasant carbonation level finishes a little slick.

Snuck over to Bine & Vine to pick up the North Park anniversary beer. Ended up coming away with seven other beers as well. Their website described it as “We are bringing back the California Brewers Cup Gold Medal winning Double IPA. Sticky Sips is our highly hopped West Coast Double IPA using over 7.7 lbs per bbl of Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin hops. Tropical flavors with a touch of blueberry and moderate bitterness keep your palate asking for more.”
Poured a medium yellow clear color with three fingers of rocky white head. Could see plenty of bubble streams coming up from the bottom and along the sides of the glass. Excellent spotty lacing. Almost perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled Mosaic, floral, strawberry, Juicy Fruit, Nelson, papaya, white grape, guava and trash. A little better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted a little better than the nose. In order got big Mosaic, floral, strawberry, Juicy Fruit, Nelson, papaya, white grape, guava, trash, grass and hints of peppery spice. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, dry finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Felt like I overrated this slightly but it was at least outstanding. (Overall - 4.25)

Nearly clear orangey amber brew with adequate foam in the snifter. Very fruity and juicy with a sharp finish. Flavors of lemon, orange marmalade, with that dank aroma. More mango and a whiff of cedar. Hops are listed as Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin. It's quite a powerhouse of hop flavors. Rather acidic and hot but quite sippabe. From the 16 oz can purchased at Bine & Vine. Dated 02/22/22.

Picked up a four pack of this on the way to the Eric Church concert nearby. Twas cool he covered Lodi.
Pours a clean golden honey like yellowish color with ample clarity. I've been impressed appearance wise by Moksa's west coast ipas. Some of dankiest Nelson and Mosaic you can shake a stick at in the nose. Props at breaking the conventional dry hop wisdom with this one. Whirlpool floc is life. All the hippie body odor, weed, overripe guava and blueberry notes you can shake a stick at.
Taste is a crisp, delicious hoppy beer over a very subtle malt base that has a mouth feel even lighter than its appearance. Still pushing weed and that down under danky humid equator like fruitiness. Ample yet far from excessive bitterness component. Tastes like there could be Simcoe here, but I think its the dumping of all those hops on the hot side instead of dry hop wise, you get that best of both worlds kind of result from hops that are generally only used in dry hopping.
Freaky good stuff.

Can dated 03/18/21 "Gold at the Bistro!!!" into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
A: Bright golden with 2 fingers of low density white head with limited retention and left limited lacing.
S: Wow! Super dank and resinous, with tropical fruit undertones. Loved it!
T: Follows the nose well, but a bit more prominence of the tropical aspects. Finishes with restrained bitterness that lingers pleasantly.
F: Low-medium bodied with moderate carbonation, slick on tongue and swallow.
O: Far and away the best hoppy beer I've had from Moksa, and I can see how this won at Bistro. Delicious, wish I'd grabbed another 4pk.
