Taste: crisp grapefruit, citrus grassy, hops, fruit notes. Tropical grassy hop nose. Gold, clear, with white head and nice lattice of lace. Medium, almost lite body. Slight hint of wheat and maybe some mango at the end. 45 IBUs

Pours a hazy golden color. 1/4 inch head of a white color. Good retention and decent lacing. Smells of citrus hops, slight sweet malt, and spicy hops. Fits the style of an American Pale Wheat Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of spicy hops, hint of pine, slight citrus hops, slight sweet malt, pale malt, and a hint of wheat. Overall, good blend, average appearance and feel, but body and aroma are lacking distinct wheat notes.

Fits the style; but undistinguished in an undistinguished style. Refreshing enough, though, to have again.
I'm not a fan of this style. It seems to be a catch-all for micros that want to brew with wheat and be refreshing. So I ask myself: why not have a wit? And I do.
Nonetheless, Peace Keeper Looks inviting enough: nice foam and lace. Smells indicate an above average yeast yielding lots of fruit. Tastes follow without much intrigue or subtle spicing. Refreshing and light.
For my micro-review of Emmett's, I'm surprised they are almost 25 years old. They've followed the brewpub model and have opened their fourth. (I'm biased in that they should have followed the distribution model, given how old they are... but that's their business!) Anyhow, they get quality Overall Hugs for bringing culture (brewing) to Chicagoland's suburbs.
