I'm trying this at the brewery. It poured a clear golden with no head and no lace. The scent had coffee notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with roast coffee finish. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a decent beer.

16 oz draft pour into a snifterloudy shows a clear-ish dull gold colored body and briefly floats a 1/4 in cap of white foam with medium retention and little lacing.
Aroma is roasted malty coffee and cocoa beans.
Flavor matches with a slight burnt aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is medium and almost creamy, I'll bet the nitro presentation, which I just missed, hit feel out of the park.
Overall an interesting combination of dark malts and light colors. Probably my only one of these, because I am not a coffee fan, but it was great to try it.

I was unsure of what to expect from a golden stout. But the aroma was immediately familiar: sweet malt roasted to convey chocolate/coffee/mocha. And it delivers in the same in the Taste. Sits softly in my mouth, velvety, oat-like. A very nice change of pace from the summer fare at ZooBrew. A thoughtful beer list to go with an interesting menu. I think I'll take the train out there for a visit.

Taste: complex, sweet, creamy mocha coffee, chocolate, fruit , oats, nice finish. Same with the nose. Bright gold, mostly clear, with smaller head and lace. Medium body. Nice coffee beans and sweet milk notes.
