Bought from Beermiscuous, my source for Chicagoland micros. This is only my second from Urban Labs, but they show promise for only a four year old. And I should pay more attention to them (which I said 15 months ago when the pandemic was, well, seemingly as bad as it is today... but, I make no promises about going into micros' taprooms.)
As a Belgo-phile, I bought Honey to adjust my tastes from the dark malts needed to weather a Midwest winter so I could travel and try to enjoy the light (weight) beers found in Florida. So, Honey probably achieved that small goal.
With regards to this Honey Blonde, it competes well in a crowded marketplace of Blondes. Its Look and Smells are barely above average, but Tastes are well-balanced, in the middle of the fruit/hops continuum and the yeast seems to bring on the fruitiness of malt as Belgians do well. And Feel is carbonated enough to cut through the fats and strong flavors at my table. While I didn't, I could easily have Honey Blonde with fries. While just released with only 16 check-ins on UnTappd, Honey Blonde is a good table ale that, I hope, Urban Brew Labs releases again this summer. You go, girl !
7/12/22 Found another copy at Beermiscuous. A good ale in the summer as it probably is intended. Had with Indian leftovers and I'm finding that wheat-dominated bills are almost as soothing as lagers for Indian spices. A decent ale I will have it again and I will look for more Belgos from Urban Labs, a kid with knowing beyond its years.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
