16oz pour at the brewery
Typical look, yellowish, good head and lacing. Smell is unimpressive, taste is much better thankfully. Hops and malt meld with the mild yeast character to make something better than the sum of its parts
Buttery hoppy goodness

L: bright gold with streams of bubbles rising moderately fast under a 1" cap with fair to good retention
S: Belgian yeast fruit and white grape aromas along with light grain.
T: white wine, light fruit, mild alcohol and a balancing bitter accent
F: medium light body and medium high carbonation
O: This is a very drinkable saison but the Belgian yeast character is a little low but the development of white wine flavors helps.

Neither terrible nor great, it’s serviceable and worth a shot. Looks good in their stange-like pint, pours a clear deep burnished gold with a ring of crisp white head. Lots of yeast on the nose, some rustic earthy notes...but a little one-note. Taste follows but brings a fuller slate of flavors: earthy yeast, coriander, a little (non-cloying) faintly sticky and floral sweetness. Feel is fairly light but substantial with respect to flavor. It’s worth a shot.
