A- pours a deep golden color with a one finger foamy white head that has decent retention
S-
T- herbal notes up front with basil and lemongrass. Mid-palate gives some peppery yeast, herbal tea and a hint of ginger. The finish gives herbal tea and basil on the linger

Can from San Juan enjoyed at home.
Lightly hazy deep gold color with a huge frothy white head that persists. Earthy spicy herbal nose with bits of light funk and fruitiness. Flavor follows the aroma. Pretty nice spicy saison.

Of my 326 unique saisons, this may be among the Top 5 surprises for quality.
Thinking that guys in the Virgin Islands cannot really brew what makes the saison special, I buy Bush Life anyway.
It quickly shows itself as a great interpretation of the spirit of these farmhouse ales for a few reasons.
But the reason right now is that it improved a simple meal of roasted potatoes and various sauces from mayonnaise to pesto to sour cream horseradish to BBQ. I don't know how these guys in the Virgin Islands learned such versatility, but I'm for certain to investigate by buying more Bush Life. A votre Sante'!
1/31/22 Rarely do I drink a single and then, at the next chance, return to buy a six pack. But as a credit to Bush Life and Leatherback, I just did that. And the same thing happened, Bush Life improved a mediocre meal. Being a mediocre cook, I made a good purchase and am keeping count over at UnTappd.

12 oz can
yellow golden in color, a little cloudy, white head. I'd say the lemongrasss and basil are most present of the 4 herbs. Not sure I could have identified the sorrel and ginger. Earthy and dry finish. Thin to medium bodied.

Bush Life has a thick, fairly fizzy off-white head, and a hazy, bubbly gold-yellow, with minimal glass lacing. The aroma is of horse blanket, white bread, lemon, and spices. The taste is similar, with sweetness and low bitterness. Bush Life is medium bodied and has a mostly dry finish. RJT

Presentation: 12 oz. can with the canning date printed on the bottom. Served in a tulip glass.
Appearance: The thin, half finger head goes away pretty quickly and leaves behind a lot of patchy lacing. It's a slightly hazy, pale amber/copper color.
Smell: It's a rich, herbal, strong scent of ginger, lemongrass and sorell right away. There's a lot of complexity on the nose but it's still a very pleasant aroma.
Taste: It's a fresh, complex flavor with the citrus-y sorell and lemongrass notes up front followed by a touch of cool mint and a soft, ginger note in the finish.
Mouthfeel: It's light enough to be refreshing but it has more body and character than average so it strikes a good balance. Carbonation is medium low.
Overall: The aroma and flavor are definitely reminiscent of St. Croix bush tea. This is a fantastic, refreshing brew that's perfect for warm weather and is just something different in the sea of "same-ness" that is beer these days.

Poured into a pint glass. A slightly hazy golden color with a medium white head. Complex aroma with ginger, basil, lemon pepper, and dough. Taste followed. An interesting mix of all of the adjuncts as billed. The Saison yeast seemed restrained in comparison to the added notes but this was an interesting and fun beer. Dry and clean finishing. Really nice.
