Hera is the counter part to Zeus. Showcasing a multitude of hops including Citra, Columbus, Centennial, and Galaxy. Hera is one of the softest beers we have ever made, luscious melon flavors with juicy aroma and a gentle delicate nature.

Pours thick orange yellow, soft white head and soapy lacing
Aromas of citrus as in orange, pine and an earthy note
Taste is orange up front and hints of pine and lemon grass
Mouthfeel is kind of fuzzy, medium carbonation, no alcohol burn and a fading bitter finish
Overall it’s another interesting beer from Mortalis and I mean that in a good way

Hera is murky and golden orange. The head forms a huge, dense, three-inch, creamy white cloud that lasts most of the session before suddenly becoming a puffy pillow and depositing thick patches of lace on the walls of a Spieglau IIPA glass.

Orange and pine are very strong aromas. The juiciness of this beer is impressive. In the long run, orange dominates.

This is another beer that assaults the palate with bitterness. Interestingly, however, with time, that bitterness wears out the palate and becomes somewhat mild. There is unquestionably a numbing quality. Given all that, pinesap is clearly distinguishable above grassiness. Others call this "green" which it certainly is. Green meaning, to me, fresh and meaning leafy hops. A second crowler was enjoyed a week later and the greenness was still surprisingly present.

This beer has a full body with a woolly texture, high alcohol, and soft carbonation.

While difficult to consume, even for an IIPA, I finished the crowler within ninety minutes and was interested in more.

Hazy yellow-orange with a fuzzy white blanket that clings in arms of white lace.

Juicy, spicy and dank, Hera features catty cannabis, eucalyptus, orange zest and minty lemon. Bitterness is balanced in this medium bodied, cotton dry brew, as the soft crisp froth brings forth hints of biscuit at times.

On tap at Mortalis Brewing Company in Avon, NY.

This one pours a very hazy and very murky golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like spicy hops, pine, melon, pineapple, and grapefruit.

This definitely has a bit of a burn to it- maybe it's a tad green. The spicy hop bitterness definitely does help keep this a bit more balanced than the usual big ol' juice bomb. There's a big citrus and melon hop blast, with such a great soft fruity flavor to it.

This is light bodied, with basically no hint that it's 8.3%- the booze is super well hidden.

This may need a week or two to settle down a bit more, but it's still quite good now.
