This Imperial Coffee Stout is brewed with a favorite local coffee. It is full-bodied with loads of coffee and then finishes with hints of rum, cinnamon, pecan, and chocolate. We have added an additional layer of flavor by conditioning the beer on marshmallows.

Pitch black stout pour with a finger of brown foam, splotches of lazy lacing abound. Bittersweet chocolate and coffee give off supporting vanilla, cinnamon, nuts, and with a hint of maple. Taste has the vanilla leading more with chocolate and coffee in a sweet way (marshmallow?) with slight date, black strap molasses and cinnamon. Feel is heavy, thick, sticky, and full yet so smooth, its a mortalis stout!

Sweet milk chocolate, marshmallow-vanilla, and hint of coffee nose on this one! Taste follows with a mocha coffee, roasty chocolate malty, and marshmallow finish. This is a bit more medium-bodied, but still really well-balanced. This is delicious!

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells like marshmallow, frosting, maple, pecan, sweet coffee creamer, and chocolate fudge.
I don't think this is necessarily an improvement on regular As Above So Below, but it's still a nice treat. Regular AASB is a nearly perfect coffee stout - it presents as a load of different adjuncts, even though it only has flavored coffee. The marshmallow slightly dulls some of those interesting spiced complexities, but the marshmallow is done well and doesn't add too much overt sweetness, luckily. I still do get that maple and toasty nuttiness, and lots of milk chocolate. I imagine this combo would be extremely good in a barrel-aged edition.
This is thick, creamy, and rich, with no booziness at all. It's really drinkable.
This is decadence - it's rich and wonderful. It shouldn't replace the original version, but it's a cool variant to have sometimes.
