Collaboration with Equilibrium Brewery
This Triple IPA was brewed in collaboration with Equilibrium Brewery. For the second take on this Triple, we worked with our friends from Middletown and brewed the same beer at our spot. A silky smooth full body is paired with Citra, Nelson, and Galaxy hops. The trio of hops provide notes of grapefruit, peach, grape, and passionfruit.

Appearance: Pours a milky, clouded, completey hazy (0% clarity) light to pale yellow body with a strong white head that is milky and heavy. SRM of 5-7. (4.50)
Aroma: Strong aromas of orange creamsicle, pineapple, tropical berries and mango. (4.25)
Flavor: Strong flavors of orange creamsicle, pineapple. thick mango and berries. Creamy, smooth finish. (4.00)
Feel: Heavier body, appropriate carbonation. Finish is heavy, thick, smooth. Sweet, but subdued. Hides the alcohol well. (4.25)
Overall: Mortalis and Equilibrium collab. Another banger hop combinations with Citra, Galaxy, Nelson. I'm not a fan of triple IPAs, or really any IPA above about 9%, but it had fantastic reviews. So I treaded with caution but with some optimism. The pour was more beautiful than an IPA I can remember. The aroma is amazing with orange creamsicle, pineapple, mango. The flavor follows too. It drinks heavy, but creamy and smooth. Sweet, but not as much as I'd expect. The malts provide balance. Hides the alcohol deceptively well. As one wise BeerAdvocate @GreesyFizeek wrote, "only these two breweries could get me to like a triple IPA". Probably the best Triple I've had. (Rating: 4.17)

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy yellow pour, foamy head fades to wispy covering, streaky lacing. Light juicy aroma, citrusy. Taste is grapefruity , zesty and just a little bit dank. Creamy feel with some lingering tang.

Canned 8/26/25.
Nelson is the star of the show here – green, green hops on the nose bringing notes of white wine, passionfruit, & underripe tropical fruit. Palate more citrus forward, w/ grapefruit, peach, & hints of red berry sweetness. Bold, boozy, & balanced.

On tap at The Richmond in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a very hazy golden yellow color, just glowing and real pretty, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like pineapple, passionfruit, peach, and white grape.
I like maybe 1 out of every 10 triple IPAs that I have, and luckily this falls into that 10%. It doesn’t quite have that super enhanced sweetness or weird boozy prickliness that a lot of triple IPAs have, and that’s great! It’s quite juicy, with a concentrated peach, passionfruit, orange, grapefruit, and white grape juicy hop character, with very little bitterness.
This is much lighter bodied than the style usually is, and much more drinkable. It’s nice and smooth on the finish.
This is a great collaboration, and quite impressive that these two breweries could get me to like a triple IPA!
