On tap at The Sheffield in Brighton, NY.
This one pours a kind of dark black color, with some brown murky tinges, with no head, or lacing.
This smells quite sweet, with coconut cream candy, vanilla frosting, vanilla coffee creamer, and milk chocolate.
This is just too sweet, and not exceptionally easy to get down. The coconut flavor is nice, but in combination with the chocolate/vanilla/coffee, everything just ends up too sweet in the end. It’s cloying and sugary, with nothing, either from the flavor additions or the base tout, to help balance the sweetness.
This is thick, creamy, and sweet. It’s a slow sipper due to the cloying aspects.
This isn’t Mortalis’ strongest effort for me. It might appeal to some people, but it doesn’t really appeal to me anymore.

It’s a flavorful stout, but I must conclude that my least favorite style of beer is a stout. It tastes like coffee, chocolate and booze. All good together, but just not my style.
