This Double IPA is brewed in collaboration with Beer Zombies. We started with a pale hazy base and hopped it exclusively with Citra and Cryo Citra. An incredibly smooth finish is met with subtle notes of citrus and grapefruit.

Glass: North Park 400-ml. Rastal Lawrence tumbler (green) glass
Price: $4.99
From: Windmill Farms in San Diego (Del Cerro), Calif.
Purchased: Dec. 9, 2022
Consumed: Dec. 9, 2022
Misc.: Collaboration with Mortalis Brewing Company; No canned on date
Went to Windmill Farms looking for some North Park haze but struck out. So six cans and a 6-pack of Tierra Madre lager later I left the store with more than I planned. Untappd description “This Double IPA is brewed in collaboration with Beer Zombies. We started with a pale hazy base and hopped it exclusively with Citra and Cryo Citra. Poured a light golden hazy color with four fingers of frothy white head. Could see some bubbles coming up the sides of the glass toward the top. Excellent spotty lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Loved this smell initially. Got big Citra, orange juice, grapefruit, peach, mango, papaya and pineapple. Just as good from the can. (Smell - 4.50)
Tasted maybe just as good. In order got big Citra, orange juice, papaya, grapefruit, peach, mango and pineapple. (Taste - 4.50)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, citrusy finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Wow. This beer was legit. (Overall - 4.50)

Purchased this weekend at the home office, Avon,NY pours a golden orange murk with a lively head that reduced to suds down the glass. Peach aroma comes to the for. Taste is scintillating grapefruit, melon, lime, smacky smacky bittery dry. Juicy and hoppy: just like my women! Better than very very good!

Notes. Had at Controlled Chaos festival @ Burly Oak / Nov 2022
Can pour from Beer Zombie’s “Big” Chris.
Excellent DIPA collab with Mortalis…which I have also had on tap at MBC.
This Beer Zombie version was great if a wee bit green ( as noted by Chris).
Definitely have again

Smell is Lemon, butter, and earthy pine straw. Great example of a hazy. Taste is muted grapefruit with pulverized pine cone. Hops start to assert themselves as it warms. This is sexy and confidant zombie juice. Coats your tongue like a Greek love tarp. Kick ass can art. Great job Mortalis!!!!
