Was kind of excited to see this on tap at North Park because it was a hazy collab with North Park. Untappd description was “This Double IPA was brewed in collaboration with our close friends at North Park Beer Co. We dry hopped at a rate of 8# per BBL with Nelson, BRU-1, and Citra.” Had high hopes going in.
Poured a bright yellow golden hazy color with 1-to-2 fingers of frothy off-white head when I got it. Just a few bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled orange, pineapple, tangerine, peach, stone fruit, Nelson, papaya, tropical zest, gooseberry, diesel, Citra and grapefruit. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose. Got orange juice, pineapple, Nelson, bitter tangerine rind, papaya, apricot, peach, stone fruit, Citra, orange blossom, tropical zest and hints of licorice. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Long finish. (Feel - 4.00)
Outstanding overall but not quite as good as I hoped. (Overall - 4.00)
