This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a very small head, and not much lacing. It looks pretty thick.

There’s creamy marshmallow on the nose, with maple, milk chocolate, roast, pecan, brown sugar, bourbon, and oak.

This might be my favorite barrel aged variant of As Above So Below yet. Marshmallow can sometimes send beers into the cloying stratosphere, but this luckily avoids that a bit. The marshmallow melds very well with the barrel here – vanilla, oak, caramel, and a touch of bourbon, with the marshmallow laying a pillowy cloud on top of that. There’s some roast, and that classic coffee flavor from the Jamaican Me Crazy beans – maple, caramel, pecan, just generally a lot of nuttiness, maybe even some rum – it’s a tasty coffee.

This is very thick, but not syrupy, with not much booziness.

I really enjoyed how decadent but not completely overwhelming this one was.

Sweet milk chocolate, mocha coffee, vanilla-marshmallow, and a bourbon barrel heat nose on this one! Taste follows with a baker's chocolate, coffee roasty, and a vanilla-bourbon barrel boozy finish. As the beer opens up, a touch more coffee and chocolate bitterness comes out...this hides the marshmallow notes a bit. This has a nice mouthfeel to it and does a good job of showing of the barrels. This is excellent!
