This Imperial stout is brewed in collaboration with RAR Brewing. Subtle coconut meets Colombian coffee. "Darkness is your friend. Whatever you do, don't turn on the lights."

Very dark brown, only simulating black, with a thin, lumpy, fuzzy tan blanket.
Smell is coconut and sharply floral Tahitian vanilla extract.
Taste shifts to hot cocoa marshmallows, burnt (not charred) brownies, Oreo dust...I really wish there was more coffee.
Cloying, even acrid, this sugar rush is at least moderately viscous. It's fuckin hot too, probably more so in translation because of the sweetness.
In spite of their description, ain't nothin subtle about it. It's a damn sweet assault on the sense. Or I'm becoming an old curmudgeon. Both, I daresay.

On tap at Mortalis Brewing in Avon, NY.
This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells very sweet, with tons of fudgy milk chocolate, vanilla ice cream, caramel, coffee, and toasted coconut.
The first ounce of this was fairly decent, but it got a bit taxing as it went along. None of the flavors are particularly subtle, and it’s just too sweet for my palate currently.
This is very thick bodied, pretty syrupy, and not very boozy.
I didn’t really love this one, it was just much too sweet for where my palate currently is.
