Fully opaque dark straw nearing tan with a two finger head of khaki foam.
The nose seems a little sharper than nelson can be, while the palate is way smoother, just damn near pineapple-orange-mango juice through and through. Sweet and even thick, between the full body and soft foam, mild accents of dewy, fresh cannabis and spruce tip come to a lightly chalky dry finish.

Overall: Mortalis Ares Nelson a new shipment via Tavour. My first try at this. Mortalis has been impressive lately. Right off the bat intensely tropical aromas of berries, grape, mango. Same on the flavor. Intensely tropical with grape, blueberries, and mango. Wow, I don't know if I can remember an IPA quite like this, except maybe from BlackStack. The combination of flavors here is amazing.. Mortalis Ares takes the Citra/Mosaic/Nelson crown. (Rating: 4.23)

On tap at Mortalis Brewing in Avon, NY.
This one pours a hazy golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like tangerine, orange, mango, pineapple, and grape, with a lemony and pithy bitterness.
This is really solid – Nelson still remains an absolutely favorite hop, as the combination of white grape and tangerine here is just dynamite. There’s a touch of bitterness, not intense, and it’s just a juice bomb, but manageable, and not too sweet.
This is light bodied, clean, crisp, and slightly creamy, with a great drinkability.
Mortalis’ IPAs are honestly my favorite beers that they do at this point.
