Crystal and Vienna malts give this IPA a slight bready sweetness that is balanced with some citrus and slight dank notes from Amarillo and Simcoe hops.

Pours slightly cloudy pale copper with a thick white head, generous lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, citrus and a hint of pine. Flavor follows the nose, citrus up front with bold bitterness in the finish. Feel is medium bodied, a bit sticky, well carbonated. Overall, a nice IPA that fits with west coast beers.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy patches of ace on the glass. It smelled of roasted malt, toffee, caramel and piney notes. Very malty tasting with toffee, caramel and a sharp piney bitterness.

12oz can - only 3 months old
Pretty disappointed in this one. Very one-note... and that note is (not the brown one, thankfully) day-old cut grass cranked to eleven. It leaves you really dry on the palate, very little malt sweetness (what's there is actually candied and great.. maybe it's just regular malt being extra tasty when experienced in a poor beer like this), and is mostly bitter dry leaves that were once hops
A poor IPA

L-Deep oak colored..perfect head and lacing
S-A bit of a biscuit like maltiness and a piney/citrusy aroma.
T-Perhaps my favorite hop combo with Amarillo and Simcoe and they do not let me down in this beer. Reminds of the IPA's that were much more common before all the Haze and newer hops came out. A definite west coast IPA feel to this with a lot of pine and citrus and the biscuity malt never exerts but blends nicely.
F-Medium bodied. Perfect carbonation. Has some bitterness on the finish but not sharp or one sided.
O-Very impressed with this IPA. Right up my alley. Will be buying more of this.

Poured from 12 oz can. Happy to see more breweries going to 12 oz cans instead of other size vessels. Has a slight haze but otherwise looks good. Nice head with lacing left down the glass. The Amarillo and Simcoe hops (the reason I even gave this beer a chance was that it was stated on the can) gives this beer a very nice citrus and dank aroma. Hoppy flavor as well with a light malt flavor. I like dank in my IPA's and this has enough to satisfy me. Bright citrus flavors also plays well. Bitterness is assertive without being overwhelming. Medium body and appropriated carbonated. Impressive IPA that is good in all categories. Just lacks the little extra special to rate higher. Glad I gave this brewery a chance.

L: Pours brilliant copper under a 3" off-white cap with good retention and a fine bead.
S: Moderate aroma led by hops featuring spice, melon, tropical fruit, traces of biscuit and a hint of dank.
T: Starts lightly sweet with a tropical fruit undertone aided by citrus and melon. The bitterness creeps up and grows by the finish where it joins some drying astringency. The bitterness has tea-like quality.
F: Medium plus body, rich creamy texture, medium very soft carbonation.
O: This is a very drinkable beer with a very nice development of hop flavors and bitterness and it does not have a lot of BS added on.

Very easy to drink IPA. More on the smoother side. Not too bitter. Great summer time IPA.
