Mixed Fermentation Saison with Dandelion Aged in Wine Barrels
Visage is our favorite beer to make every spring. Every year we look forward to collecting Dandelion flowers with our friends and neighbors. The 2020 batch of Visage would not have been possible without our dear friend Tom Morgan who foraged every flower added to the kettle. This years blend contains barrels from 2019 and 2020. Let's raise a glass of Saison to our friend Tom!

16.9 ounce bottle, Blend #3, pretty sure this was the 2021 release. Served in a Teku, the beer pours a somewhat clear gold color with about an inch white head that stayed around for a long time. Lots of lacing, too. Aroma is nice, the brew smells floral (Dandelions), earthy, grapes/wine, lemon/orange citrus and bready malt. Whoa, the taste really has an earthy tart kick to it! The flavors are similar to the aroma, but there's also some oak and dark fruity flavors noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's coating and has a good amount of carbonation. I'm not typically a fan of floral type brews, but this one worked for me for some reason. Definitely worth picking up if you're into tart, earthy brews. Wouldn't mind trying this one again in the future!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
