A: crystal clear; copper colored; 1 finger finely pored ivory head that receded to a wispy cap; nice lacing;

S: the first few sniffs were bright tangerine; after that, it was quite earthy;

T: citrus up front; herbal builds from the middle; by the finish, herbal dominates; mild to moderate bitterness at the end;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;

O: an interesting combination of aromas and flavors;

Picked up a four pack of pint cans. Best by date on can: 01/04/25.

Pours a slightly hazy golden amber in color with a finger thick frothy head on top with decent retention and tons of lacing on the glass as you drink. Carbonation looks a bit below average with a few bubbles rising up. The color hints at balance which is a good sign for me!

Aroma is melon, citrus and pine with a toasted candy malt backbone. Seems fairly simple, but I like all the components.

Taste follows the aroma very well. The malts are there from the beginning and last throughout with a lovely toasted honey. The hops ride on top of that with grapefruit pith and pine resin. The finish is bitter with lingering grapefruit pith and toasted honey.

The mouthfeel of this one is medium bodied with ample chewiness and very soft, moderate carbonation. Drinks very smooth and slightly creamy and finishes with a lingering hop oiliness. Not quite a palate wrecker, but it does stick around on the tongue.

I really like this, it's very much in line with what I love in an IPA. It has a very balanced profile, both between hops and malts and between the hops themselves. It reminds me a lot of Deschutes. Just a very classic West Coast brew. This could very easily be a fridge beer for me if it were more accessible. This is my third beer from this brewery and I've liked every one so far, so I think it's fair to say I'm digging what they are doing. I look forward to trying out more and eventually making it out to their brewery. Cheers!

Had a can poured @ gate at San Diego airport.
Amber/ Red malty hopped up ale. Nothing new.
Tasty, crisp with a bit of bitterness (50 ibus per can). Fairly softly brisk but still has a bit of malt backbone.
Would be best outside with some sun and grilled food.

Been to Denver. Kind of a whack evening. Raul’s meathead friend wanted to stay at a hotel by the airport because it was cheaper (but then we had to take an expensive and long taxi ride into town [amateur move to say the least]). Then while in town, well, dinner wasn’t a home run either. This beer may not be as bad as that experience - I mean, it’s still nice to see things that you haven’t seen before… But, like… Yep, that’s about it for that lackluster experience and also this simply ok beer. “But, like…”

From 16 oz can.
Well she is pretty. Very slightly amber missed gold in color. Fluffy white head ascends to nearly 2 inches and slowly retreats to a solid 3/4 cap. Great retention with layered, almost chunky lacing.
Nose has a smooth wash of citrus, orange rind and muted lemon, along with that traditional piney note.
Taste takes things up a notch. The citrus notes are full and round. But here the pine goes a little more toward dank. Lovely. The bitterness is like a gentle walk down a path away from the sweet bready notes. It really takes its time bringing you to the finish.
Mouthfeel is medium, carbonation is lively enough throughout the journey, and finishes between slick and creamy.
Overall, a beautiful beer.

canned on 7/16/22, consumed from a tall tulip on 8/28. 3 fingers of loose, almost fizzy head white head of reasonably impressive longevity, that consolidates over time to a thinner but much denser/tighter layer. a lot of lacing. Beautiful amber/dark gold color. Perfectly clear/no haze at all. a steady stream of microfine bubbles rising from the bottom. A beautiful beer. not a lot of smell and the favor is a really nice balance of hops and malt without excessive bitterness. slight citrus, to me there is more pine and dank that citrus, but very enjoyable, although it could be judged to be a bit watery. Smooth, medium body. clean finish Overall, very nice, especially if you are looking for a WCIPA that is not overly bitter.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium coppery amber with a two finger white head with good retention and thick lacing. Aroma of caramel male, citrus and piney hops, tangerine, grapefruit, pine and light mixed stone fruit. Flavor is pale malt, citrus and piney hops, orange, grapefruit, pine and mixed tropical fruit. Piney and citrus rind finish that thins out quickly, but leaves a good piney aftertaste. Medium bodied with light creaminess. The aroma had some caramel notes that led me to hope it would have that style of malt, but it was lighter and more crisp in taste than the aroma. The hop bill is West Coast as advertised and a nice blend of citrus and pine with pleasant added faint mixed tropical fruit. Starts fairly classic with dominant citrus and pine, then a wave of light, estery tropical fruit into a reserved finish that is satisfactorily bitter, but then the herbal flavors thin out into residual light bitterness. A good representative of the style and always glad to find a West Coast IPA among the flood of fruit hazies.

Clear yellow-amber brew with abundant foam in the Duvel tulip. It's a very flavorful mix of Mosaic and Cascade hops. Aromas of wood and orange peel. Some roasted malty sweetness with a mild grainy taste, even a touch of caramel. Earthy with a hint of melon and grapefruit in the finish.

The aftertaste is seeds and stems with a slight buttery tang. Not overly bitter and quite well-balanced overall. The emphasis is on drinkability. Another clean and pleasing brew from Eppig. It's a small brewery worth checking out. From the 16 oz can picked up at the Shelter Island tasting room.

8 oz pour at Vista taproom.
Really nice golden amber colour with finger of off white head.
Aromas of pine, citrus - slightly dank - caramel malt notes,
Taste is up front piney dank hops, citrus - orange, slightly tropical; sweetness of caramel/bready malt - a balanced dank bitterness in back.
Medium bodied - extremely drinkable - a bit of bittersweet dankness sits on the palate. Exceptional beer from a top notch brewery in San Diego.
