Handsome brew, lots of foam and exactly the color of dark rosé wine. Mildly sweet with a fine flavor of cherries and berries. Tangy finish with salt on the lips. Actually, though this is not a style I like, I give it a good score for being an outstanding example. Quite drinkable and surprisingly stylish with the fruit and tanginess, while steering clear of any hint of sourness.
This would be an excellent Fruit & Field beer as well. So much better than the lactobaccilis vinegar bombs. From the 16 oz can purchased at Baron Market on West Point Loma. Well-aged from date of 09/12/23.

16 oz can, BB date 02/14/2025. Pours clear light red with no head. Aroma: raspberry, cracker, maraschino cherry. Taste: tart cherry. Dry finish. Nice carbonation. Not bad but not a style I like, I'd rather have a weiss without the fruit.

Glass: Revision 12-oz. tulip
Price: $3.29
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: July 9, 2020
Consumed: July 26, 2020
Misc.: No canned on date
Spent way too much at Windmill Farms and then at North Park Beer Company, but happy with my selections. Online description read, “Berliner Weisse with real raspberry & cherry. Tart in flavor with brilliant aromas of ripe fruit.” That sounded really good.
Poured a reddish clear color with one finger of off-white fizzy head, which dissipated immediately. Could see just a few bubbles creeping up toward to the top of the glass. Decent watery lacing. Average retention. (Sight - 3.50)
Smelled big raspberry, followed by cherry, tart plum and purple grape. Not quite as good out of the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted almost as good as the nose. In order got raspberry, cherry, tart plum and purple grape. (Taste - 4.25)
Light body. Sticky texture. Average carbonation. Sweet, fruity finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Just an outstanding berlinerweisse. (Overall - 4.25)
