Brewed for drinkability and refreshment, our pilsner is similar to the Bavarian style. Spicy and floral Noble aromas and some citrus come into play giving it a surprisingly complex character for a single hop. The signature doughy, bread crust notes of continental pilsner malt are also present. Super crisp, super delicious.

Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: German Pilsner
Glass: North Park 16-oz. Willi Becher glass
Price: $2.99
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: July 11, 2021
Consumed: July 23, 2021
Misc.: Couldn’t read canned on date
Grabbed a can of this and some other stuff while looking for some North Park cans at Windmill Farms. Eppig does every lager well so I was looking forward to this one. Couldn’t really find any specific description on this one, but more on their hoppy pils beers. However, being Eppig it had to be good.
Poured a medium yellow clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy off-white head. Could see just a few bubbles coming up from the bottom and sides of the glass. Decent watery lacing. Very bad retention. (Sight - 3.25)
Smelled Noble hops, hay, sourdough bread, white cracker, grass, chalk and pilsner malt. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted a little better than the nose. In order got Noble hops, hay, sourdough bread, grass, Corn Flakes, white cracker, hints of black pepper, pilsner malt and chalk. (Taste - 4.00)
Light body. Thin texture. Lively carbonation. Clean, crisp finish. For sure the best part of the beer. (Feel - 4.50)
Really grew on me each sip. Glad I picked up a can. Very good, almost outstanding. (Overall - 4.00)
