pours a clear golden straw with a finger of foamy head that slowly dissipates to a thin ring with some lacing. Aroma of pineapple and citrus. Taste follows nose.

Handsome clear golden yellow brew with plenty of white foam in the Bacchus beer tumbler. Lush and sudsy on the tongue, with a tang of acidity. Aromatic with pineapple, lime, and papaya. Mellow malt, moderately sweet, and deeply fruity. All the mango and tropical tastes with a dose of citrus and a dank finish.
This is really a sensationally flavorful IPA. It would be a DIPA with a bit more malt and alcohol, but it's quite massive enough as it is. Thoroughly sippable and gives you all the fruit without the murky gunk that some breweries seem to find essential. From the 16 oz can purchased at the Shelter Island-area tasting room.

Spent way too much money on a bunch of beer from North Park Beer Company, Windmill Farms and Bine & Vine. Woof. The back of the can read, “Bright and dry, bursting with notes of tropical fruit, lemon, and orange. Wake Up & Slay is a light bodied West Coast IPA dry hopped with a special blend of Simcoe, Mosaic, Citra and Loral hops.” That’s a nice blend of hops. Was looking forward to it.
Poured a clear amber color with 3-to-4 fingers of rocky white uneven head. Could see some bubble streams snaking up from the bottom of the glass. World-class uneven lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Right away got Mosaic and Simcoe on the nose, followed by Citra. Still kind of new to Loral, but looking up its characteristics it looks like this was a distant fourth. Also bitter pine, resin, black pepper, onion, garlic, mango, stone fruit, herbal, red grapefruit and papaya. Even danker from the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Taste wasn’t as good as the nose. An interesting mix of hops, but wasn’t quite working. In order got Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic, bitter pine, dank resin, black pepper, caramel candy squares, onion, garlic, mango rind, stone fruit, herbal, papaya and red grapefruit. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Bitter, dry finish. (Feel - 4.00)
Overall this was outstanding. (Overall - 4.00)
