On tap at Atlas Tap House, Myrtle Beach.
Translucent reddish brown colir. Half finger of off white head. Ok retention and lacing.
Caramel malt dominates. Piney with light bitterness lingering.
Similar taste. Alcohol flavor when cold. Sweeter when warm.
Easy drinking for 11% abv. Slightly thin bodied for style.
This is a decent American barleywine. Checks all the boxes.

Picked up a four-pack from the Appalachian Vintner 10-19-23 for $17. Canned 10-4-23; consumed can #1 of 2 6-16-24.
Beer poured reddish brown with a nice off-white head with the original pour.
Nose is nice, picking up notes of dark fruits and berry.
Taste is a large malt base that give me notes of toffee and dark fruits. Hopping lends a citrus berry sweetness to it with the finish being balanced with a touch of hop tingle.
Mouthfeel is medium to large bodied and smooth.
Overall another solid offering from Edmund's Oast.

Thanks to CarolinaCardinals for sending this in our brand spanking new Barleywine/Stout BIF #1.
Pours a golden hue with hints of amber peaking through as well. Light fluff rises nearly 2 inches and tapers off to a thin sheet. Slight lacing.
Nose is definitely calling out, 'I'm hopped." A nice resin and pine note kicks off just before the malt.
Wow, I am liking this. Not a lot of American barleywines out there. And I am liking this one. It has a solid foundation of malt: caramel and buckwheat. The hops are omnipresent, firm, but not overbearing. Again, resiny, piney, and a hint of orange zest.
Mouthfeel has decent heft, light carb, and a smooth, dry, bettering finish.
