Glass pour from a growler. Bartender said the growler was filled a few days prior.
Slightly cloudy, straw colored body. Thin finger of off white head. No lacing.
Aroma leads with the smoke, with toasted malts in the background.
Taste certainly has the smoke but is joined more fully by the malt and fruity hops. Has a mineral character.
Clean, crisp mouth feel. Good level of carbonation, as shown by the fizz release when the cap is removed.
Has the sharpness of wheat malt, a smoked character, and a slightly sweet fruit note. The smoke is not overbearing and results in a refreshing brew.
