No bottling date (released on 5/24/22, so presumably bottled within a few days of that date); consumed on 6/1/22
Pours a viscous, sludge midnight-black body sporting vague brown edges and no semblance of head forming;weighty and presenting almost entirely still, there is no cap, no collar, and no lacing whatsoever holding to the walls of the glass.
Aroma opens with impressions of mushy green banana imbued with edges of coconut before a peanut butter density takes hold; shreds of light chocolate wash over the weighty decadence, slick and sweet with virtually zero sense of roast or malt character.
Taste shows banana into milk chocolate upfront as peanut butter steadily integrates over the mid-palate, leaving edges of coconut freshness amplifying nuttier textures with a more concentrated sweetness over time.
Mouthfeel beings a full body, absolutely viscous with near-zero sensation of carbonation; glossy, slick, and increasingly syrupy in texture, a minimal booziness/mild warmth over the mid-palate cedes to a fairly sticky glide over the back end.
A hefty, flat concoction more resembling a dessert smoothie than a stout, the surprisingly clever adjunct integration does little to detract from the cloying weight of this brew; pleasant enough for a few sips, but beyond that deteriorates rapidly.
