We took the clean and balanced nature of a classic American lager and specifically designed a recipe that would add unique, rugged edges to it.

Canned on 9/1/22; consumed on 11/13/22
Pours a clear, lemon-gold body topped with two fingers of fluffy, white foam; decent head retention leaves a paper-thin veil of cap, equally thin, frothy collar, and level splotching of webby, soapy lacing spread across the walls of the glass.
Aroma opens to earthy lager yeast with a touch of lemon rind; a bread dough accent brings hints of minerality interspersed, while straw, freshly popped popcorn, and vaguer, grassy hops balance the bouquet over time.
Taste shows flaky malts and an underlying minerality upfront, with brighter lemon subtleties over the mid-palate invigorate level tones of straw and white toast over the back end.
Mouthfeel features a light body and moderate-full carbonation, rounded and soft while extending a consistent prickle over the palate to a nearly paper-dry finish.
Enlivened with attenuated zest and met with a taut dryness, this lager shows base character through simple, rustic edges and clean drinkability; not much stands out, but overall well-done.
