We love our traditional lagers for sure, but we went with a modern approach for this hop-forward lager. Not really an IPL or dare we say Cold IPA, this light-bodied lager has a touch of malt presence and a clean, citrus, hoppy finish. Bitterness is kept low in this beer, allowing the Citra hops to shine through with a rounded flavor and aroma. Make this beer part of your next outdoor adventure!

Poured a little darker than expected, but a pretty clear dark golden body supported a couple centimeters of head. Near the end of the glass, the top still had a bit of froth on it. Given the Citra hops, I was a little surprised to get a more floral note from the aroma. Taste was a little muddled when the beer was cold, but an all-white pith note started filling in the back, leading to a light evergreen note in the finish. A medium light body with smooth a transition from orange blossom honey grains and flower stems to the aforementioned finish. This one grew on me as I drank it, but I could also see being a little more conservative in my rating in a different situation, so I might revisit this review with another can.
