12 oz bottle from the brewery store. Pours slightly hazy gold with a small white head that disappears quickly. Aroma: crisp hops like a pilsner, malt, oak. Taste: malt, floral hops, and... oak. There is a charcoal character, not the stuff in bags or smoky, but like the smell of wood that was burnt and cooled. The oak really comes through in the finish. If you like to taste the barrel the beer was aged in, you will like this. I think it’s really well done. Very tasty for 5% ABV. Easy drinking for hot weather.
