i am still not sure if this can rightly be considered beer, but it was cool to see something new pop up in the neighborhood, and i expect them to do pretty well, a neat niche, i have not seen anyone else in this space. this is a fermented blue corn drink, spiced and still, with mango and chili in it. i like what the added ingredients bring to the mix, the original was more chai-like, cinnamon heavy, but this is more balanced, a little smoke and heat from the pepper, some balancing sweet and pulpy fresh mango is killer too, and it has me thinking of all kind of fruit combinations for this, coconut and lime, ginger and lemongrass, orange and tea, its cool, and i think it could serve as a neat base for a lot of flavors, this combination is pretty cool. i still find myself wanting some bubbles, and even some yeast character would add a neat layer. either way, its a drink i completely do not understand, but am looking forward to experimenting with a little but. i am glad that these guys exist...
