fortunately their coffee blonde was pretty solid, because this is a weak offering and frankly was a rather lousy first impression of these guys. this poured thin and clearish without hardly any head from the tap, looks more like a tired adjunct lager and a lively saison in the glass, apple juice, red flag right away, this is not what you want one of these to look like. it smells like a too hot belgian yeast, nothing rustic or interesting about the ferment at all, very thin on the grain side too, and a little chemical, just not very well done. the flavor is little more than a weird fermentation profile too, trying to find something redeemable in the malt or the water profile even, but theres just nothing here, and this is pretty lousy overall if i am honest. i hate to bash something from a little spot like this on my first visit, but the leaves a lot to be desired. its dishsoapy and plastic, totally flat and watery, a very tough one to finish. i must have ordered poorly, because the place was packed when i was in and everyone seemed to be stoked, but this was a total head scratcher, one to avoid.
