Canned on 12/2/21; consumed on 12/26/21
Pours a deep orange sporting a glossy sheen and topped with multiple fingers of fluffy, white foam; great head retention leaves a dense, creamy half-finger of cap, an expansive, frothy collar, and a moderate spatter of spotty/webby lacing dotting along the walls of the glass.
Aroma highlights pungent citrus upfront, showing tangerine, bright passionfruit, and a soft florality sporting hints of thyme into mango and a peppery lemon dankness on the back back, with touches of lime and bready malts rounding out the final impressions.
Taste brings dank orange peel and tangerine upfront toward ripe passionfruit and a sweeter undertone of dank mango; hints of lime and grapefruit peel on the back end sport a pungence comparatively mild to the aroma while a soft, flaky malt character counterbalances the finish.
Mouthfeel features a medium-light body with a beautifully rounded and fluffy moderate-high carbonation, dispersing to a creamy texture meeting a hop twang over the mid-palate while remaining bright and lightly juicy through the back end; a quiet crispness in the backdrop of the finish pervades the cleanly zesty textures lingering through the swallow.
Expression through myriad zesty textures, intermittent dankness, and a deft malt base, this is another Arvon NEIPA profile guided by a plush approach to brighter character as an overall consistent offering.

This lives up to its name, gently hazy. There’s a delicate nose on it, with ripe pineapple and some berry juice goodness. Easy sipped with just enough bitterness to remind you it’s an ipa. I liked it. More please!
