ONE PINT can
Served in a stemless wine glass

This beer pours a dingy yellow color and is topped with an inch of beige head that leaves decent lacing.

It has rich citrus and tropical fruit aromas with a slightly sweet aroma as well.

It balances sweetness and bitterness. It starts out kind of sweet, but then citrus comes rushing in with orange peel and grapefruit to add some bitterness.

Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel

I will say this about Arvon IPAs in the cans that I have purchased. They are all good or oxidized. This one is very good.

No canning date (released on 4/1/21, so presumably canned within a few days of that date); consumed on 4/21/21

Pours a turbid, darker sunflower-gold body capped with just over two fingers of thick fluffy, white foam; great head retention leaves a spotty, paper-thin cap, and expansive, frothy collar, and thin webs of soapy lacing draping down the walls of the glass.

Aromas of lime zest and orange peel establish a citric brightness before the blunt overlay of coconut-imbued Sabro hops; fresh piƱa colada, earthy coconut oil, and perfumey levels of fragrant tropical hops dominant across the bouquet, leaving residual lavender and more saturated tones of pineapple closing.

Taste is more coconut-forward from the start, showing coconut husk against lychee peel for a nicely tempered buffer into waves if detailed coconut characteristics; coconut oil and floral coconut chunks are most prominent over the mid-palate and toward the back end, where underlying notes of pineapple, mangosteen, and moss break through; orange juice and a light touch of grapefruit add further tropical zest to the finish.

Mouthfeel brings a medium-full body with a fluffy, semi-prickly carbonation; gritty resin over mid-palate lays a foundation for underlying juicy characteristics to burst through into the back end, where a prickly bitterness staves off an over-saturation of hoppy sweetness through the subtly dry finish.

An admirable baseline expression of the polarizing Sabro hop, this NEIPA really leans into that coconut-laden intensity for the overall temperament of an overtly tropical ale, nearly overwhelming yet touched with just the right level of restraint in both sweetness and saturation.
