No canning date (released on 3/8/2022, so presumably canned within a few days of that date); consumed on 5/2/2022

Pours a velvety, glossy ink-black body capped with just over a finger of rich, pale mocha foam; solid head retention yields a vague, paper-thin cap, slight, frothy collar, and the occasional strand of webbyacing held tightly to the walls of the glass.

Aroma highlights bittersweet malts sparking bakers cocoa upfront, soon entrenched in a dark fruit undertone peaking with black raspberry as touch of smoky char over the back end hints toward roasted toffee on the close.

Taste shows burnt vanilla pod into a silky malt char upfront, bittersweet cacao resounding over the mid-palate alongside tinges of smoke before an influx of caramel, bakers chocolate, and bourbon-soaked oak course over the back end.

Mouthfeel brings a full body, dense in texture with mild carbonation sneaking through to a silky cake batter richness over a contrastingly drying mid-palate before a lower-level warmth lingers on the finish.

A weighty, blunt imperial stout presentation showcasing significant malt density against the settling warmth of boozy cacao, soft roast, and bittersweet dark fruit overtones; at 12.5%, a rich amplification of the (non barrel-aged) style.
