A - Pours a dark amber with a large foamy off white head. The head fades into a thin ring leaving a light amount of soapy lacing.

S - Aroma is dark breads, noble hops and dark fruits.

T - The taste is toasted dark bread, caramel malts, dark fruits, black pepper and noble hops.

M - Medium body with medium carbonation. Soft mouthfeel with a crisp finish.

O - My time tasting a Sticke Altbier. More fruity than a typical Altbier. Really dug this.

No canning date (released on 9/22/22, so presumably canned within a few days of that date); consumed on 10/26/22

Pours a clear, deep mahogany body capped with two fingers of silky, soapy, off-white foam; good head retention leaves a slight layer of cap, moderate, creamy collar, and generous spattering of chunky, webby lacing spread across the walls of the glass.

Aroma opens with a woody florality sporting brown toast undertones; a light minerality fades to soft malts veering toward potpourri and vague nuttiness as a distant tinge of attic earthiness lingers distantly.

Taste shows woody notes developing to floral potpourri, while black bread crusts through the mid-palate engage a slightly nutty subtext through clean minerality on the back end of the profile.

Mouthfeel features a medium-light body and a carbonation on the higher end of moderate, easing a wispy bittering through a smooth, semi-creamy bittering past the mid-palate as a clean minerality dries to crispness over the finish.

Restrained earthiness takes a backseat to a resoundingly smooth malt profile, forming an expression cleaner than your traditional Altbier, with a vague potpourri projection nodding toward the style's more fragrant origins.
