Pint at Valley Brewing Company for four dollars, consumed 8/8/08, reviewed from notes, this beer was Saison 1 but fermented at a higher eighty-five degrees, it also had less fruit added
A-Cloudy golden yellow color with some orange highlights, 3/4 inch soapy white head, decent retention, only small amounts of lacing
S-Tons of fruit, mild hops, honey, lemon, oranges, apples, bready malt aromas, and grassy accents
T-Taste was sweet throughout, apples in the beginning, a little chewiness in the middle and citrus in the finish, all flavors were sublte and not powered by sweetness thankfully, actually pretty well balanced, just lacked a flavor that stood out, otherwise balanced and tasty
M-Thin to medium bodied, lots of carbonation, mouthfeel is a bit weak, it is slightly sweet and dry but that is about it, taste does not last long
D-Light on the stomach, goes down very easy, low ABV, would make a nice session beer, nice on a hot day, smooth as can be for its style
Last beer I had that day, tried all three saisons, this one was my second favorite, nice adaptation of the style, probably the easiest one to drink and not just because it is lowest in alcohol, would like to drink again, recommended
