100% German hops and malt, this bright German Pils is pale in color and has a bursting billowing white head. Perfectly balanced with a German malt back bone that gives way to a very clean, dry finish. Never leaning too sweet or too hoppy, this Pils dances in the middle, making it a truly drinkable, refreshing bier. Brewed in true German traditional methods to be as authentic as possible. Features: German Hallertauer and Tettnang, 4 step mash, 10 week lager. 12 weeks grain to glass.

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug.

Appearance: light yellow hue with just a tiny touch of haze to the body and a thin layer of frothy ivory foam. Not bad.

Smell: malty aroma with a sweet, grainy character. There's a hint of corn aroma here, but I think that's just part of the barley malt character. I like it.

Taste: slightly sweet malt flavor with, again, that hint of corn, and a lightly noble hop character. Very nice.

Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: a highly drinkable pilsner, and very refreshing. And, of course, you can't judge a beer by its name, but -- what a name!

16oz can served in a footed pilsner glass. I'm assuming this listing matches this beer -- the label says, "NAZI PUNKS F*CK OFF!" except without the asterisk. Stamp on the bottom says 188, 190. I don't understand that, but I got this beer from a CSA which hasn't given me a beer older than a month yet, so I doubt this is very old.

Pours clear golden with a couple inches of head that settle into about a quarter inch, tons of active carbonation. Smell is grainy, lots of grass, a little lemon.

Taste is similar, though the grain is augmented by honeysuckle and there's something slightly mineral-y about it.

Mouthfeel is stiller than the appearance would have suggested, smooth and clean. Overall, this is a pretty good beer.

love the name, love the beer, my first from these guys and a rather authentic german pils here, seems like decoction mash, patient lagering, and nice fresh noble hop lift at the end, delicious and summery and executed to a very high level. looks the part, blonde in the glass with a short but lasting white head. the aroma is hoppy up front for the style, fresh and almost refreshing smelling, if thats a thing, and with a nice crackery european pils malt base that seems to have a little more character than most, nice balance and attention to detail evident. the flavor is somewhat bold, minerals and the grain together setting the foundation, old world lager yeast doing its thing to dry this out, bringing a lightly doughy element along with a real dry finish, love how well this seems to be handled, how crisp it is, how snappy it feels, great ferment on this. the hops arent as intense as they smell but add both green grassy and dry spicy notes to the finish, noble for sure, a little tea to them, maybe just a bit of pine too, more fresh than the imports ever are, and bolder too, but not crazy. awesome interplay between all the elements, nice water chemistry, great mouthfeel all effervescent and soft. very very well executed beer, and overall i was impressed with how well they seemed to do a wide range of styles, we enjoyed this lager as much as their hoppy stuff and even a brett beer, so some real competence in the brew house here. solid operation top to bottom, and obviously i second the message, npfo!

Light and clean taste. Great on a hot summer day.
My son usually does not like pilsners, but enjoyed this one.

The name is not conducive to selling in grocery stores.
