375ml corked/caged bottle served in a pair of stemmed Cantillon glasses. Batch #1, no date on the bottle that I can see.
Pours a murky amber-brown, medium sized head on the pour, turns into a thick ring and appears to have plenty of active carbonation. Smell is mildly grapey, some sweet-tartness, a little dates/raisins and something kind of woody.
Taste is tart, wine puncheons are noticeable, oak is more noticeable, dates and raisins seem to be gone -- on second thought, they're there, but very light and very late in the flavor.
Mouthfeel is light, effervescent, prickly. Overall...this doesn't taste anything like a dubbel. It's a wild sour. It's a tasty sour, and I like it...but I can't give this high marks as dubbel. Someone who wants a dubbel would be blindsided by this. So, low scores above are because I'm trying to rate to style, not because I dislike the beer. They just need to re-label it. If it was classified as a wild ale it'd be in the 4.0-4.25 range.

This was a "Tart Belgian Dubbel" and has a good balance to me. Would have liked a smoother base to tart up but still a tasty offering. Gives a good kick for sure though.
